Abstract

The article deals with the issues of ensuring gender equality at the international and national levels. The main approaches to the definition of "gender equality" from the point of view of international standards are analyzed. The author emphasizes that ensuring gender equality depends not only on the legal prerequisites, but also on the practical measures provided for by the legislation. Based on the scientific analysis, conclusions and recommendations of a practical nature are given.
